Short-Term Rehabilitation Program
The Home’s Short Term Rehabilitation Program offers a full range of medical and rehabilitative therapies to address the needs of people recuperating from post surgical conditions and other situations requiring intensive nursing care and rehabilitative programs. Our goal is to restore them to their highest level of functioning and independence, so that they can return safely to their own home.
Together with our community services division, ElderServe, The Hebrew Home’s short-term rehabilitation program provides care for short term care patients with orthopedic, neurologic, neuromuscular or arthritic disorders that may include stroke, fractures, pain management, amputation, brain injury, Multiple Sclerosis and or Parkinson’s Disease.
Services include audiology, occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech therapy. In addition, our Short Term Rehabilitation Program care team consists of physicians, nurses, social workers, dieticians, and therapeutic activities.
Patients will have access to the Hebrew Home’s expert medical specialists, the Home’s rich cultural activities, and the state-of-the art Greenberg Wellness Center. In addition, amenities include cable television with VCR for each patient, telephones at each bedside, internet access through the Home’s Lustgarten Computer Center and meals in a new dining room.
